shrinking the size of my keyboard

Hello,

Is there a way for me to shrink the size of the keyboard that appears when I'm typing text? Often, I'll be composing a message to a board like this one, and the text I'm typing will be invisible because the keyboard is taking up over half the screen.

If you are using the stock keyboard (keyboard that comes installed with the phone), I do not think you can...

There are several 3rd party keyboards in the Play Market that will allow you to resize the keyboard in both portrait and landscape - SlideIt, Ultra, Smart (I believe does)...most of these will have free trials as well for you test them out prior to buying...
