Ruby v1.1

Finally got her vinyl wrapped and windows tinted. Also have custom grille badges being fabricated to make her unique, as well as having Oracle fabricate a set of color morphing LED halos for the headlights and fog lights. I took this picture yesterday right after I picked her up, and it was raining so forgive the water droplets. She'll be getting a full photoshoot in a couple weeks once I get those other things I mentioned, upgraded and installed.

I had been really perplexed about her wheels though. I knew they were stock but couldn't figure out why they were so dull, even when they were freshly cleaned. Well today I noticed a little wear on the passenger side rear wheel and when I looked closer, I noticed that it's actually a chip where some sort of coating is on the wheel. I guess the previous owner had the chrome wheels dipped for a darker, less flashy finish. So now I've gotta do some calling around and find out what it'll cost to get that removed and have the red pin stripe repaired on the wheels (which were also damaged by the previous owner).

Here's how my Mustang is looking right now...

No worries, all is fine. The clearcoat on the hood, roof, and front bumper had completely failed and I took it by the body shop to see what needed to be done. Since they painted the whole car after an incident in 2009, it was covered under their lifetime guarantee. After having their paint rep come out to check out the failed clear, they've got the go-ahead to repaint the whole car. It should be going to the paint booth later this week.

"The meek shall inherit the dirt." Ruby is many things, but subtle is not one of them.

Ruby: Demon Form. Halos can be adjusted for multiple brightness settings. This is with them turned all the way up, no head lamps or fog lamps are on.

If you're interested, here's a sneak peek for the "Redeemer" and R/R badges being made. Still waiting on them to be painted and have the grille studs mounted before they're ready to be shipped to my door.

The wife's truck, former hockey hauler. Lots of memories in that truck! Trying to convince her to downsize to a Ford Explorer Sport, but her father has instilled a deep hatred of the blue oval in her that I'm not going to reverse apparently. She would like a Range Rover Sport (yeah, no)!

I loved those days hauling my son and his hockey team around. We had an 88 red and tan suburban and I drove it 23 years before I could let it go. My favorite ever. Then an 03 Expedition for 11 years and now a '14 Ruby Red Explorer. I actually love both Chevy's and Ford's and I know that weird but I'm dyslexic. I'm just learning to shoot and I shoot right, but my left eye is dominant for aiming. Those of you who shoot, know that's nuts! Anyway, just a little nostalgia!
