Setting up text notifications for individual contacts

Hi,

New to the smartphone scene and searched for these instructions but didn't find them.

I was able to edit and ad a custom ringtone to my individual contacts but don't see how to edit the contact to give them an individual text notification sound.

Use handcent sms from the market... In that apps settings it will allow it
