SERIOUS lag issues

Hi all-

I'm running 2.1 on the droid x (haven't received OTA... what's up with that??)

Anyway, I'm having a problem that is becoming more and more consistent: whenever I go to send a text message, the phone lags like all hell when typing in a contact. Then, when it finally does find the contact, I literally have to wait about 60sec before I can actually type anything in the message box.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Couple questions / suggestions:
1. Have you tried a reboot?
2. Installed any new apps recently? I would suggest uninstalling, it could be a rogue app that isn't playing nice with the rest of the phone.

I've rebooted like 10 times. No crazy apps installed that could be getting in the way. It's so weird.
