is it possible to put in a new processor into your droid (whatever droid it is). like could you find a better processor on newegg.com and install it yourself?
The processor is soldered into the mainboard. Also Newegg will not carry anything like this as far as processors. They would only have pc/mobile(laptop) processors. Also you would have to do extensive programming and it would more than likely have to be from the same lineup as your original processor. So as far as time/money goes it would be a complete waste.
In short, no. Anything's possible but odds are if you're asking you're probably not equipped to do the job. You'd need to be able to solder/desolder these types of components without destroying them and deal with integrating a processor that the system wasn't originally designed to support (which may be impossible). From a practical, end-user standpoint the answer is no. The processors aren't socketed like on your desktop or even some laptops. Everything in the mobile arena is highly integrated as space is at a premium.
Don't forget the search function. I know I've replied in multiple threads on this very same topic.
