Security disabled every night

Almost every night the lock is disabled on my LG Vortex. I have tried various security methods (pattern, pin, etc.) and the result is the same. The phone is on a table and at some time during the night the screen lights up and it no longer locks. The only way I can get it to lock again is to cycle the power. This has also occurred during the day and has resulted in butt dialing.

I have tried a soft reset *228 then 1 and it didn't help. If anyone is familiar with this problem and has a solution I would certainly appreciate it.

The problem may be getting worse. Several times in the past few days it has switched to silent while on the desk next to me.

youve got a ghost! lol for some reason I think the backup installer has somthing to do with it. are these things occuring at the same time everynight?

I'm not sure about the time, but I changed the PIN for the Verizon backup and last night the security lock wasn't disabled (first time in months).
