Search function of this website

Is there any easier way to search for content on this website because right now, anytime I search for a topics, it just gives me a list of post which seem to be unrelated to what I was searching for and I don't want to keep upsetting the people on this forum by repeating questions which were already answer (I understand how annoying that can be)

OK sorry that was harsh. Its mostly bad because people don't add the right tag's to their threads.

what tags did you add to this thread?

None, just like everyone else.

The search function here is useless unless your searching for a single word. Luckily, the solution is crazy easy!

Just use Google, and add "site:droidforums.net" to the end of your search string.

Correct about the tags. The staff trust to go around an ad tags to threads as we see them but we are human and can't get them all!!

I can understand. It just used to be a lot easier before. I search for something. The search would show me the word either in the heading, or in the first post and it worked. Made my life 20x easier, just wondering why did it change from that?

I've searched for threads here before literally copying the title of the thread into the search bar, and it usually always comes up with other topics and never shows the one I intended on looking for.

You make a good point though OP. People should expect topics to be repeated when the search function isn't very effective. It's also non-existant in the DF app.

Play a jam!

Yeah, the problem is there's no boolean searching. No and, no or, no nothing. It'll take each word from your search query, and search for each word individually. So, say you're looking for "android themes", it'll find everything with the word "android" in it, then everything with the word "themes" in it. Not exactly relevant lol. The google search string in my previous post works perfectly though.
