Search function for txt not working

I don't know what the deal is but here a while back I realized I could search through txt threads with the search button. Now when I push it, I don't get anything. The search box doesn't even show up. I don't recall if this was before or after I updated to 2.2. Anyone else have this issue?

That's my thread; our problems may be related. You're less likely to get help though, since you've got an "unofficial" 2.2 installed. Still, read my post if you've got a minute and let me know if it's the same problem--if you have the same problem with 2.2, I might take my phone to Verizon...
