New here. New to Droid.

Got my new Droid with 8GB SD Card. Had a 16GB in my Blackberry that I'm throwing away.

I copied everything from the 8GB to my computer. I deleted everything from the 16GB card and then copied everything that had been on the 8GB card onto the 16GB card. Opened up Droid and replaced the 8GB with the 16GB. It all seems to work fine except for one annoying thing.

Under Settings | SD card and phone storage | SD card, it says that the Total space is 7.39GB and Available space is 7.35GB.

How do I get it to show that it has more memory than the 8GB? Will I be in trouble if I fill it up, meaning, will it recognize the whole 16GB?

Make sure it's 16 GB. It should not show you that it's half the actual size. I have a 32G card and it shows all of it.

Sounds like it's not a 16gb card.

Well don't I feel stupid! After reading responses, I looked and my 16 was sitting on my desk. I put the original back in. Must have been distracted. Thx
