SD Card content deleting self?

i've had this problem before.

It appears as though content (mostly pictures, probably some music too but i have too much to tell what may be missing) on my SD card is randomly deleting??

Could it be from plugging my phone into my computer and unplugging it without doing some proper way of unmounting? I notice when i plug it into one of my computers i notice it stops charging and 'mounts sd card' alot, even though it remains plugged in.

Or could content somehow have moved to internal storage?? if so how can I check my internal store? (what folder would it be, where would it be, etc)

any tips/suggestions/thoughts?

If they were moved to your computer, you'd probably see them there. Could be a corrupt memory card. Try taking it out (phone off) and re-inserting it. I've seen Music Junk cause songs to disappear on my gf's D2.

I tried taking the SD card out and back in and nothing re appeared.
if it was corrupt wouldn't it say it's corrupt and need to be re formated??

so would it be a good idea to just re-format it and put everything back? sense, well. i dont got much to lose now.

and if so how would i go about doing it?
