Screen won't turn on after update. [URGENT]

Hello, all.

I recently tried applying a rooted version of the 2.11.605.19 update to my Thunderbolt. I followed standard procedure as usual (wipe data, cache, system, etc.). The problem is however, everytime the update gets done installing and I reboot, after the "htc" boot screen, the screen goes black. You can hear and interact with the phone (hear calls, answer calls, etc.) but the screen just won't work!

I've already tried 2 different ROMs to no avail. Just to add more detail, the ROMs I am using are just stock/rooted.

Any advice? Phone has been like this for 2 days & I really need to use it!

Don't want to bump the thread, but just thought I'd add a little. I just a restored a 2.11.605.9 backup I have, and everything works fine. So why is the .19 update giving me so much trouble? Any ideas? Would greatly be appreciated.

Weird! I know this is a late reply, but have you since reinstalled the .19 update? Perhaps it was like a one-time, by-chance update error or something, I believe I was on .19 for a few days, that's the one that fixes hotspot (allegedly), correct?

Anyway I'm glad your TB isn't perma-broken, before reading the "bump" post, I was going to claim a hardware failure and to get on the horn with Verizon ASAP.

OK I got into recovery and then wiped the cache back up and running

Wish I read this earlier. I didn't even bother wiping catch and went straight to restoring from a backup I made a month ago. Does anyone know if the update still tries to push through after the Cache wipe? Does it work the second time?

So I went ahead and tried to manually update the .19 OTA update against my better judgement. Phone went right back to being stuck on the boot screen. Had to clear the cache. Back up and running with nothing more than a failed update notification. But this OTA is worthless! Anyone know how to permanently disable the OTAs? Running rooted with stock kernel, and HTC sense

Let me know what rom you settle on. I have been running stock. I tried liquid smooth, but the liquid smooth .zip posted on this website won't flash on my thunderbolt. Its a pretty small zip. Not sure if I need to flash a previous version first or what.

For some reason this one didn't flash for me. Do you rename it "update" first? or did you just keep the name and choose the zip as it was named from your SD card?
