Screen went black..need to master reset?

My screen up and died on me and I got a new droid. I want to master reset it, or at least wipe my info from it before sending it back. Is there anyway to do that without being able to see the screen?

Can you boot it into recovery? Are you sure it isn't a bad battery?

What did you do to make it just go black. Usually something happens to cause that.

If you can't turn it on at all and it's totally bricked then I wouldn't worry about what's on it. Pull the SD card out of it (let Verizon know you're doing that) before they send a new phone.
