Screen just shattered!

FML! Phone just slipped out of my hand about belly high and landed on my tile floor face down and its all cracked! Now I need to decided if I should just go threw my insurance and get one or dish out the $ for a different phone since HTC & Verizon could give two *cents about the TB... Hmmm

Well I'm able to up grade. But I went ahead and did the $100 insurance claim. Once I get the phone in the mail I'm just going to sell it for like $200 and then use that for part of my coat to upgrade to the bionic.

Before you jump the gun and get the Bionic which I am sure is a great phone... Give some thought to getting the new Galaxy Nexus that will be coming out soon. It is going to be a Google stock "Ice Cream Sandwich" from launch.

I dropped mine on my carpeted floor about 2 weeks ago. It must have hit just right because I now have 2 nice cracks on my screen. :icon_evil: Anyway, you can buy a 'Verizon' replacement screen and do it yourself for about 30 compared to the $100 for an insurance claim.


And I don't know if you have had any hands on time with the bionic, and maybe I'm the rare input here. But I'm not thrilled with it. It was a lot more laggier, is that word? than my TB. But just personal input there.

Yeah I already did the claim. But I played with the Bionic in the store and its nothing that great. So for now I think I'm going to hold off on my upgrade. It's not going anywhere. I know more phones are coming out soon like the nexus and the vigor. So maybe around xmas I'll use my upgrade

I'm sure that will be a fine phone, but make sure before you are stuck. There are a couple amazing phones coming out in only a couple weeks that will blow it away. If you had an old phone just to get you through it might not be bad....

I understand you in a tough spot... just hate to see you get stuck with the Bionic.

Well I have it now. I mean I do have 14 days. But honestly I will never buy a HTC phone again so the Vigor is out. And that Nexus phone they are now saying it wont be out till late in Q1 of 2012

If something happens to the screen on your bionic you could always get a replacement screen and install it yourself. Some replacement screens come with the digitizer also. Anyway hope you enjoy the bionic and if you have questions feel free to ask

The Verizon Galaxy Nexus is going to be out in the first week of November. It's not going to be an HTC phone, it is going to be a Samsung. Go over to Droid Life and read all of todays articles starting from this morning. It talks about the Verizon phone and one that may be for another carrier.

Yeah. Well I hate HTC phones. I love all the Motorola Droids I have had over HTC. I don't like the Sense UI personally. But hey to each his own.

Oh... . Strangely I've come to like Sense and might even miss it a bit. As far as skins go I like it the best. But the new blur is OK also.
