screen jumps around

I joined this forum and hope to get answers to some questions regarding my Thunderbolt Android phone. sometimes my screen jumps around for no good reason and sometimes the right side of the screen comes non responsive. for now I have been using AVG to scan for viruses and also rebooting which seems to help but it's a pain . is anyone else having such issues and are there any answers up there for how to eliminate this problem

How old is the phone? Did you buy it new? It sounds to me like the screen digitizer may be starting to go bad. That, or you could try a factory reset and see if it helps.

Just to make sure, does it do this when it's charging or when it's not charging as well? If it does happen when it's not charging it could be the digitizer going bad.

My phone was new from the Verizon store about a year ago.
Didn't notice if it happens when it's plugged in. I'll check that next time it happens .
