Screen issue.

Hello,
Recently rooted my Nexus and ever since my screen keeps turning on randomly with out touching the power button for a few seconds and shuts off. It's not really a big issue just more of an annoyance. Has anybody had similar problems?

I had this problem with a custom ROM, but ever since I switched never had that problem.

Not running any custom Roms. Stock except for root. I tried going to stock recovery to wipe cache, but was unable to bring up the screen selection while in recovery mode. Pressed both volume buttons and nothing occurred. Was I doing it wrong?

I think I recall reading that that doesn't work on JB

Man, no stock recovery on JB? Well, guess I'll have to mess around to see If I can pin point the issue. Thanks

Try going to "storage" in settings and check to see if there is a "cached data" bar in there. You can clear the cache from there.

How many times did you try pressing the volume buttons? Sometimes it takes more than just one try.

Held them down on several tries, but nothing.
