Screen goes blank randomly

Regardless of ambient light and speed of dialing or whatever, the screen will randomly go dark requiring a tap of power button

Brings me back right where I was

Sometimes as I go to end a call, before I can get to the END button, it blanks out
Other times midway between dialing a number it blanks

I have Auto Dimming enabled

Did not do this for first week and half
Now in my third week of owning this phone

Great phone so far except for above, no battery complaints...

What is your screen timeout set at? Also, the upper left corner of the droid is a face sensor which cuts off the screen while on calls. Make sure you do not have it covered or it will stay dark.

Timeout set to 2 minutes

I am aware of the face sensor

I have not changed the way I hold the phone and have tried to be aware of possibly tripping a sensor I am not aware of, as part of my trouble shooting

I am still climbing the learning curve of how sensitive the screen is to accidental selections
I VERY often select something or dial when I do not intend to - kinda walking on egg shells still

Right out of the box I applied the screen protector and have considered adding a second to reduce sensitivity

I would welcome a setting to adjust touch sensitivity...
