It's easy to save something as a ringtone but how do I save it as a notification tone?

If you are rooted, then you could copy whatever sound/ringtone you want to the system/media/audio/notifications folder and reboot.

I have not tried it but perhaps this will work:

My files> Internal storage> media> audio> notifications.

Place the file there and I would think it might show up in your options.

That works on OG Droid and Bionic, not rooted. I have all kinds of crazy notifications. I can also make a folder on the SD card Media>Notifications and store them there also. Media>Ringtones lets me have all kids of crazy ringtones
