Save pictures to SD card

How can I save pictures taken with my phone to the SD card? The internal memory only holds 1gb.

The pictures are saved to the sd card not the phone memory. They are on the sd card in the folder DCIM/100MEDIA.

That's right. When you mount your phone you see it.
