save link isnt working

I just switched from a Droid 3 to Droid Razr and I've just noticed that when I attempt to download something (I've tried an HTML website and mp4 video) by long press - save link, it says "starting download" but then it never actually downloads. It never shows up in the task bar or in the browsers download history.

Has anyone else at least had/heard of this problem?

For anyone else with this issue: Dolphin HD is a great browser in the market and doesn't have this problem.
