Samsung's Gear Fit is a Hit; Initial Stock Reportedly Sells Out

Initial reports suggest the Samsung Galaxy Gear Fit is already a solid success story. In just 10 days, Samsung's entire 250,000 inventory has sold out. While 250k is a far cry from the 20 Million Galaxy S4 smartphones Samsung sold, as new as smart-wearable devices are, they obviously should be compared on a completely different axis.

As a refresher, here's the basic features of the Gear Fit:
  • Pricing = $199 (or €199 in Europe)
  • Hybrid between a smartwatch and a smartband
  • Runs a new Samsung OS called Real Time OS.
  • Curved 1.84-inch Super AMOLED display with 432 x 128 pixels
  • Curved battery (developed by Samsung SDI) which can last 3 to 5 days on a single charge
  • Heath and Fitness tracker
Sound off if you are one of the folks how picked up one of these and let us know what you think of it.

Meh... not sure I want my watch telling me I'm fat, too. My Omega fits me fine and loves me regardless.

Samsung is not only in the hardware making biz, but the OS making biz as well.

They have Tinzen, and now RealTime OS.

Nice "watches" though. I would prefer this to the square LG and Sammy models any day. Not as pretty as the Moto 360 though.

I have also bought samsung galaxy gear fit. I am loving this. it gives you cool look. You can check all details at Samsung official sites. samsung galaxy gear fit

Tech geeks really will buy anything. This is nothing short of amazing - a mostly useless device packaged as an fashion accessory most people ditched years ago.

C'mon, the first time someone pitched this in a meeting there had to be more than a few snickers.
