Samsung/Verizon S3 SCH 1535 owner/newbie. It's a toy store w/this device but?

Hi, it's thrilling using this recently acquired smartphone. In the two days that I've been using it there are issues that may have been resolved in this forum and if not one of the Magi here may give me the map to help resolve my particular situations. I've already posted this in the development discussion thread:


MMS & uploading pics to text sent on rooted S3 doesn't send via MobiPCS, suggs?

Hi, I had an S3 rooted recently by a contact who mentioned that at the moment there isn't a patch which allows one to send a text w/a pic attach. This is the Verizon S3 LTE/4G SCH 1535 which is now being used on the carrier MobiPCS.

The other issue is that at first when I connected this S3 to the P/C laptop running W7 it would open a window allowing you to access the files, now it doesn't since installing some apps which I've uninstalled. Is there already a patch out there that can resolve this? To all you Magi of the forum your help is greatly appreciated, Thanks

BTW, I'm a novice w/terms and don't know the rooting process. Your patience is appreciated if I don't understand your reply.....

No, not resolved yet and I'm optimistic. I'm on the S3 Forum and a developer has been looking into my situation. I've been to a tech retail store which unlocks phones and ports numbers over to Mobi and so far the consensus is that it's the phone and how it registers itself to the network. I don't think Mobi sales reps can deal with the unlocked phones that are flooding their company. These are the little nuances that makes one a little nervous when it comes to supported devices and unlocked devices that are out of their realm. This is the only incomplete part of the equation to my situation. I'm glad that forums and threads pertaining to each individuals needs are addressed here and elsewhere. I appreciate all of you who are helping to fit together the pieces to the jig saw puzzle......

Resolved!

Okay everyone, case resolved for 2 issues with the VZW S3 thanks to a techie who replied to my post on Craigslist. I was given the correct leads from several members on the Samsung Galaxy S3 forum which I will update there as well but there was no clarity as to how to specifically pinpoint the method to resolving these issues. Here it is. Install GO SMS Pro....Open GO SMS Pro/click on text pad-pencil icon top right to create a new text/click on hand icon with the word "GO" at bottom of screen/click on pictures/video/capture picture or which ever of those icons suits your needs.

Here is the next issue that was resolved to split large messages. Open GO SMS Pro/click on the boxes icon top left corner and it will open to a functions directory/click on settings. You'll see send messages, once you are there put a check mark in the box that says "Split large messages". All is good now!
