Samsung SCHI800 trouble in paradise.

I am a retired Microsoft Systems Engineer. I own a Samsung Galaxy Tab SCHI800 that has a messed up Android OS. I am trying to find a way to restore this Tab to factory defaults, both of the normal methods look they are doing it but when the Tab reboots there isn't any change by that I mean the errors continue and the apps I installed back in the days when it worked properly are still there. It is very frustrating.

I have tried Heimdall to install a stock OS but I can't find a Windows USB driver that recognizes the Tab when it is in download mode.

If anyone has an idea on how to help me, thanks in advance for your help.
