Samsung S4 GT I9505 to Verizon

I just purchased a samaung GT-I9505 in Irag and I put my Verizon simms chip in it and when I arrived at San Francisco Airport I turned it on and it would not make any calls or pick up my voice mail.
I was told that this phone was unlocked and work work on any Freq.
Help

That may be true but you may need to tie a/the SIM to the IMEI of that phone

I know this is your second post inquiring about the Verizon model which is SCH-I545. Sorry, but the other model is a GSM phone and is not compatible with Verizon, even if unlocked.
