S7-render-leak-1.jpg

The above image is just one screen-cap of a new smartphone rendering video which is supposedly of the Samsung Galaxy S7. The most noticeable differences here is that the home button seems a bit more rectangular than previous generations. Also, we can clearly make out the spot for a microSD slot.

These rendering were created from what the sources claim are leaked dimensions for the phone. Obviously, the actually aesthetic characteristics could be a bit different than what we see here (and probably will be). Since the Galaxy S7 is expected in March or April of next year, we can bet that the rumors and leaks will come strong and fast over the coming seeks. Stay tuned!

Be sure to check out the full Galaxy S7 render video in the thread below.

I'm not a fan of the camera humps, why not just make it slightly larger on the back side and incorporate a bigger battery? Even apple seems to have admitted that their race to slim down their phones has come at a cost to battery life, that holds true to android as well. I would ponder that most people would rather have a bigger battery that will last them another couple hours then an extra 1 mm on the width of the phone.

For those that rock their phone naked...yeah I agree.

But those of us that rock a case it's not that bad.

Now where I will agree with you is if it turns out the S7 has crapy battery life then we are going to look at them like why not just add the extra thickness and put a larger battery in there. But based on the Note 5 battery life, which is one of the best of 2015, I'll give Sammy the benefit of the doubt (but by little as they have been known to slip up *cough* s6 battery life)

Regardless of how the battery life is, or if you are going to put a case on the phone. Specs shouldn't be catered around what may happen, they should revolve around the actual device itself. I have a case myself but I still don't think the design of a phone should allow for such easy destruction if you don't use a case. One of my friends dropped one of his phones about 2 feet, of course what do you think it hit... The camera hump and it broke the outer ring and the glass for the camera. Even if the S7 battery life is good, why not make it even better by adding a slight design change to make for a bigger battery and removing the camera hump. I just think it's a poor design in general for every company that uses it.

I like the look... Really hope the render is off. I would like to see front facing speakers.... Although the bottom has to be better than the back facing on my Note 4
