Warning: the included video has some minor NSFW/R-Rated language.

Okay, so video bloggers are notorious for subjecting smartphones to the most ridiculous torture tests imaginable. We've seen smartphones dropped, run-over, bent, drowned, smashed, burned, cooked, boiled, shot and even launched into space! Those are just the ones I could come up with off the top of my head.

This latest one may not be the most bizarre thing to ever happen to a smartphone in a torture test video, but we give them a B+ for creativity. This time we have the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge in a grudge match with the Apple iPhone 6S Plus. The video blogger wanted to see which one can survive being frozen in Coca-Cola and then reheated with hot water.

The videographer seems overly amazed at the fact that the frozen smartphone popsicles are so hard, which makes us wonder what he expected in the first place. He sounds like someone who has never seen ice melt before in his life... o_O

Despite his exaggerations, (or perhaps because of them) it's fairly entertaining, although relatively useless... unless of course you accidentally freeze your smartphone in Coke...

You can see the vide in the thread below. Here's our dedicated Galaxy S7 Edge section for further discussion: Samsung Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge

The video already has 5 million views or about $5k. So he made enough revenue to cover these two phones plus change to spare.

I understand testing for drops etc, but testing a device that's advertised for being water resistant vs one that's not, seems foolish, and I'm surprised the iPhone fared well, possibly the carbonation helped keep some of the liquid away from components...

Shows us that we will watch about anything on the YouTube channel...

He's laughing all the way to the bank. Maybe saying stupid stuff on YouTube is the key to riches for some folks. Perhaps he isn't really dumb, but is simply "crazy like a fox."

This isn't what's wrong. What's wrong is blowing up people in theaters and subways and making women slaves due to your stone age religion. That is what's wrong.

Making sex tapes and stupid videos is fun and entertaining and doesn't hurt anyone.
