This weekend, several new pics of the Samsung Galaxy F (aka Galaxy S5 Prime), showed up online. The big thing notable in these pics is the brushed metal back of the device, just as was previously rumored. Along with the pics, current intel and speculation suggests the device will hit the streets with an IP 67 certification, a Snapdragon 805 processor, a 16MP OIS+ camera, and probably a 2K QHD display.

It is expected to hit the streets in September of this year. Check out the thread below for all three pics.

If this device is for real, it will not sit well with current S5 owners, it would be a PR disaster, especially after Samsung said there would not be such device this year. Looks like LG threw them a curve ball with the G3, now Samsung is trying to save face.

Today the business sites Bloomberg, CNBC and WSJ.D suggest that Samsung is targeting the forthcoming iPhone 6, to upstage same.

The iPhone6 will give all the manufactures a run for the money. It makes sense that Sammy would have this variant to compete with.

Most of S5 owners, if not all, don't care what better phones coming out several months later. With the pace of technology advance, that's almost given for any device purchase. Folks like us who regularly view android sites/forums have been well aware that S5 prime exists and coming, and decided to wait to see G3 and this.

I think this was actually the model Sammy wanted to release as S5 but chipset and display was not ready for their usual early Q2 release cycle. Hence they decided to split it to two models. I'm going to check out G3 anyway. but if it suffers on battery or graphic performance in browsing, gaming due to QHD + 801 chip, I will pass it for Galaxy F or Note 4.

Apparently, you don't speak for all the S5 owners.

Right, I don't speak for all of them and you don't either. I just gave my opinion that majority of wouldn't care much about this phone. Will see.
Also this phone might be limited to Korean market like S4 LTE-A last year.

You did not give an opinion, but what you thought are facts. Try proof reading your post before commenting.

Let's keep it friendly guys.

As a current s5 owner, the only exiting news that I'm personally interested in is the bigger screen iPhone. If it's superior I'll buy it, if it's the same or lesser, I'll most likely pass as my galaxy s5 is the best phone I've ever used.
