samsung fascinate screen freezing

Hi guys im having a problem with my gf's samsung fascinate,when the phone is locked and and she presses the unlock button on the side and tries sliding the puzzle over it becomes unresponsive and also sometimes the screen will flash white any solutions?is there a way i can reload a fresh new operating system on it?

You will want to take this phone back to your Verizon store and show them. If it needs its operating system flashed again then they can do that. Most importantly they can replace the phone if necessary.

it freezes up very often and the screen becomes inactive i would say it happens 10-15 times a day

well she doesnt really turn it off unless the phone freezes/locks up and you cant do anything to it,so then she pulls the battery out and puts it back in because it wont let her power it down regularly when it freezes

Ok. With these phones being more like computers as of late, its a good idea to power them off at least once or twice a day just so they can reboot. Also, about once a month, pull the battery for at least 10 seconds and power it back up.
Is she running any kind of launcher? How many widgets does she have running?

i think she only has like one or two widgets and we already tried a hard reset with no apps loaded and it still does it so i really think the OS needs to be reloaded,is there anyway i can reload it onto her phone?

Yes, you can do a reset directly from the phone. Make sure she knows her login for Gmail as her contacts and apps are backed up there. Menu > Settings > Privacy and you'll see the option for reset there.

Yea we already tried that its a hard reset And it still continues to do that,I wanna know if I can reload the hole entire OS and how to do it?

Well I take that back. Hard resets just wipe everything off of the phone and restores it to "out of box" condition. As far as flashing the programming goes, you may find the original .sbf on here or over on xda forums. Use caution though!
