i have safestrap 3.11 with ICS stock rom on my Droid4.
I'd like to upgrade to JB.
What is the safest way to do so?

Since safestrap makes it difficult/impossible to update via OTA the easiest way would probably be to fastboot JB using mattlgroff's Droid 4 Utility. If you use option 2 it will upgrade you to JB without wiping your data.
