S4 won't download App

A few days ago I downloaded a app w/ no issues, but today I tried to download a few app and it just says DL'ing and never does. I re-started my phone, tried a few things and nothing. Nothing has changed that I know of, no updates, etc.

My phone is not rooted, and I also cant DL the latest update. Not sure whats up?

Any Ideas?

In another post you mentioned that the phone was rooted but you lost root when you tried to update. When you were rooted did you delete any apps or files? If you did, it is possible that you deleted files necessary to update or download apps.

Well the other thread was months ago, I downloaded a new app within the last few days -

Ok I found a fix for this - Here's what I did -

Please do a quick reset on your phone as follow:

1. Go to Settings
2. Select Applications ->Manage Applications or Apps
3. Select All (Look for ALL on top menu or swipe to the right to get to ALL)
4. Select Download Manager and tap Clear Data.
5. Go back to All and select Google Play Store.
6. Select Clear Data.
7. Turn off (shut down) your phone and turn it back on.
8. Go back to Play Store and download your apps. See if you can download apps now or still have the same error

Now if I coul figure out how to grab the latest update I'd be set- I'm not rooted, so no clue why it fails.

The latest software update? Grab the file from sammobile.com and flash it via Odin. Make a backup first.
