S4 now or wait for S5?

Sorry for such a noob question. I'm currently using an iphone 5 on AT&T. I'm ready to move over to Android. Torn between waiting for the S5 or just purchasing the S4 now and then sell it when the S5 drops and utilize my AT&T upgrade. I'm not sure if I'll lose my AT&T upgrade if I purchase the S4 now from Google Play. Thanks......any other tips/advice would be greatly appreciated.

If I were in your position I would just hold out til the s5 is released, especially if you plan on upgrading to it from the iphone 5 or s4. Might as well save the time and money to wait. Although there's no confirmed release dates, it might be safe to say it'll be available in the summer.

I'm sure you could make some good money selling that iphone 5 though. Should be able to buy an s4 and pocket some change from selling the iphone 5 if you really can't stand it anymore.

I ordered the S4 GPE...my thought process here is that I'll see if I truly like Android now with the S4. If I don't, I know I'll be able to sell the S4 GPE for close to what I paid for it and go back to my God awful iphone 5. If I do like the S4 and Android, I'll burn my AT&T upgrade on the S5, (once it's available), and sell the S4 GPE.

Very nice. Hope you enjoy it. What the GPE offers from the standard s4 is almost completely different thanks to the TouchWiz UI and extra features. I personally am for the minimalistic approach so I loaded a 4.4 launcher on mine and haven't looked back since.

It will be quite different, I assure you, but once you get a hang of it, you will never look back, the only thing is you will have to start from scratch with all the apps, hopefully you have not invested much into the Apple store ecosystem. You will be shocked how much freedom Android gives you compared to Apple.

Oh yeah, lol. TONS of iOS apps.....What are you gonna do.

Nope have the standard s4. The only difference is software, but switching to a 4.4 launcher makes it feel like GPE...sort of. I get to enjoy some of the features of TW that I actually use and like while still maintaining a minimalistic look.

I cannot wait for it to arrive. Ready to tweak!

S4 has been a real disappointment to me. Wish I had not given my S3 to my Wife and got the S4. My only complaint is the WiFi connectivity is a disaster. My Wife's S3 connects to WiFi immediately at home, work, coffee shops, hotels, and my S4 never does without about 15 minutes of fiddling with it. Sometimes I give up and toss it on the desk. Samsung has not figured out how to fix it, and there have been 3 software updates in the last month or so to no avail. Either go with an S3, or wait for an S5, but I am not holding out a lot of hope it will connect to WiFi either.

Wow that sounds awful.

Well, I finally had 2 hours to waste and called Verizon Technical Support. Long story short, they are shipping me a new phone. They said my sim card is not fully activated too. Whatever that means. They said I will have to stop by my local Verizon store and get a new sim card. Wondering if that is the problem with WiFi and not the phone...

LOL....just tired of waiting for Apple to get their $hit together. Who knows, I may hate Android but I need to test the waters.
FWIW, I'm not having that problem with my new S4.

Congrats on the upgrade, I'm loving mine. Coincidentally I talked to two i5 owners today who also plan to switch to the S4 - something in the water perhaps?

So you spent a lot of time "fiddling" with wifi but never thought to call support?
