Running Razr system versions

My buddy has an unrooted bionic that has been receiving and running the ota Razr versions. Wtf!? Anyone ever heard of the verizon network actually mistaking a bionic for a razr?

id like to see that ..... cause i dont think its possible.. even tho ICS is going to be almost universal for the razor , bionic and D4... the kernals are different for the radios...then again i can be wrong... plus there would be more post about it.. and i would have it on my phone right now :icon_eek:

Yeah I'm pretty sure if you tried a razr ics version on a bionic you would end up either bricking or boot looping your bionic. As the post above says, radios and kernals are different.
