Here's a rumor that you should take with several helpings of salt, but is entertaining enough to share. Supposedly, the codenames for several future Motorola devices have been leaked and they have some pretty "legendary" names. In fact, for two of the device codenames, you can take that quite literally. The three internal device names are, "Ghost, Sasquatch & Yeti."
It's important to note that the first of these devices, codenamed "Ghost" is NOT the mythical X Phone. It looks to be a mid-range device with features that were top-end at the end of last year. Supposedly, Ghost is the XT912A and will come with:
- Quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro (MSM8960) clocked at 1.7GHz
- 720p HD display
- On-screen navigation buttons
- Most likely Android 4.2.2 (although the leaked benchmarks currently show 4.2.1)
The other two devices with the names from an old 70's documentary have far less information revealed. The "Sasquatch" and the "Yeti" are still a mystery, just like the creatures they are named after. The only thing known about these devices is they are likely AT&T bound. It will be interesting to see if these devices are real, and as always we will keep you apprised if more details emerge.
Update: The "Ghost" device will actually be heading to all four major U.S. carriers. We mistakenly reported it was just for AT&T like the other two devices. We have corrected the OP.
