Ok i know u all think im dumb but ive never rooted and i want to try. So if i want ics is there a way i could root my phone and get it? I need someone to tell me the process of rooting the bionic. Dumb it down for me

U dont need root to install an ics leak unless ur installing an ICS rom then u need to root if u want to root just go here http://www.droidforums.net/forum/mo...-5-893-fxz-901-902-compatible-902-update.html its step 6 ones for GB ones for ICS as for the ICS leak just go here http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-bionic-hacks/214902-downgrade-902-no-app-data-loss.html an download the 232 leak only its the only one u can fxz back to GB when the OTA comes out an put it on ur external sd card boot in to recovery power down button an volume buttons all at the same time when the device is off the select recovery in the menu volume down is scroll volume up is select the when u see the android with the exclamation marks hit both volume buttons an scroll with the volume buttons an use the power button to install update from sdcard an find the update an select it

Yep you don't need to be rooted to install ics.
