Rooting Orig Droid w software

I thought that z4 root worked but apparently not. Buddy @ work wants to root so I need a software solution to do this. He is running frg83D. Any help is appreciated.

Use superoneclick found over at xda. Need a PC to do it but it's really easy if u follow the instructions.

This isn't an option in this situation as I will be doing it at work and no computer access to download anything.

Did he use the latest version of z4root?

FRG83D was designed to block z4root. Haven't tried other one click apps but the manual way is always best.
