Rooting/Installing Custom Rom

If I root my new Thunderbolt and put a custom rom on it, is it possible to restore it to a state where I could still use the warranty?

Also, is it possible to recovery as easily as it was with SBF on my Droid X?

I appreciate anyone who can answer this for me. Thank you.

heres a thread to unroot...[HOWTO] Restore to stock for root users and non-root users UPDATED 5/17/2011 - xda-developers the MR1 and BOOTLOADER and tuck them away somewhere in your pc along with a copy of the instuctions then make a rom file and keep it there on your phone for a rainy day. rename them something that will let you know what there for.

Alright, I'm looking at the rom list on XDA. I will check that one out. I am looking for Gingerbread without Sense and whatever speed and battery improvements that can be done. Tall order maybe...lol

bamf 3.0 will get you pretty close I hear
