rooting droid

I just received my droid today and was wondering if rooting would allow me to download windows apps like bodog poker it allowed me download the app but I received error msg thAt rom was not supported will rooting phone allow you to download this poker site or is this not possible plz let me know

:welcome: to the Droid Forums. Rooting a Droid will not help you run windows programs. They are still two different operating systems.

Welcome! Glad you joined. Even though the Droid won't run Window apps there are lots of other reasons to root. Check out the hacking section in the forum. If you still have questions post and the community will respond.
