This is for the noobs. While I love this site and support it whole-heartily I must say that at times it can be overwhelming because of its size and scope. With that said I would like to suggest the following site for any noobs that are curious about rooting and other commonly referred to terms and features often mentioned on this site:
Root Your Droid
Most everything that is on that site can be found here as well but I believe that the organization of that site (the step-by-step instructions and linked guides) will be more beneficial to novice users than searching through the mass of posts found here.
Mods of course feel free to move, edit or delete this post as you feel fit. I looked for a similar post but didn't see one (well nothing that directed to the site, just some poor attempts to cover the same info).
