Yea. Like when I was on rom back when it was black background with yellow and blue bubbles and now its straight black and white.

That may be because something on the other rom controlled the colors. And now it's on a different one, that something is not there to make it look like it did. But that's just a guess.

I'm not sure if there's any de-odexed roms out for your phone. But those are theme-able. And give you more control over what apps look like
