Rooted 2.2.2 Clockwork recovery question!

Ok I have this LG vortex on 2.2.2 I successfully rooted it with Gingerbreak, now I really need Clockwork Recovery on it because this phone is worthless with just a root and no rom. So my question is who right now is using a rooted 2.2.2 vortex with clockwork recovery and a custom rom flashed??? And how the hell did you do it??
