I just rooted my droid 2 and i downloaded rom manager. Before i dive into another ROM i would like to back up my stock verizon os. But when i do...my phone restarts itself. Is it supposed to do that? Because i can't find my backup ROM anywhere...

In order to make a backup and flash roms on the d2 you'll need to pick up the d2 bootstrapper in the marketplace in order to flash cm recovery.

Ahh! Okay i got it. So i can't back it up through rom manager at all right? And from the the d2 boot strapper i can install/backup/flash roms

You can do everything with bootstrapper. However I think once you've bootstrapped recovery and opened it at least once you should be able to backup and flash roms from rom manager but I don't suggest it.

I have an LG Thrill 4G I've rooted it using superoneclick but I need to know how to backup my current ROM. Rom manager crashes everytime I go to backup, and I can't find a bootstrap for the Thrill. Any ideas?

Well your best bet would be not posting in a D2 thread
