Restoring all default settings after root help?

So a while ago I rooted my Droid Razr, I installed a custom boot up screen and changed some of the status bar icons. I took the root off though a little while back but I still have the custom boot up animation and the different icons. Is there anyway to just set everything back to default settings as if I got it straight out of the box?

Depends on what version of OS you're running. But the short answer is flashing the OS and then doing a Factor Data Restore (FDR) after will get you there.

Ok and how exactly would I go about doing that? Are there steps anywhere I could follow?
