I need to reset my X how do I backup my downloaded apps? Will the app, pics and other stuff on the sd card be wiped?

you can do a factory reset by going into settings/privacy/factory data reset...all of your apps will restore once you log back into your google account. and no nothing on your sd card gets wiped. i would suggest making a complete backup of your sd card in case one day your sd goes bad. if it should you will have all of your info ready to transfer to the next sd card. hope that helps.
