Required Flash for L3 RC 1.2 to L3

Is it necessary to go back to OTA 2.3.3 if I'm already on RC 1.2? I appreciate the help.

all you need to be is to be on the ota gingerbread from verizon and rooted, so if youre already running the liberty 3 rc you just need to wipe data and install via clockworkmod or rom toolbox

How does somebody know if he is on the OTA Gingerbread. Before I flashed my ROM, I had Android 2.3.4. I flashed it with BlueSteel and now with Liberty. I really like my Liberty. Also what does mean to be on the OTA. does that mean I will still be able to receive updates?
