Replacement droid has issues

My original droid had a really weak cell signal, I was constantly dropping calls. I called customer service this week and they sent a rebuilt one. This one has a lot better cell signal, I even have service in the basement. Only thing is, the keyboard lights do not work unless I press the "e" button first and then every so often have to touch it again. I use swype more than the keyboard. but do use it for certain things.

It is a real pain in the $$$ to get these back to where I had mine setup

What would you good people do?
