Remove home screen slider

Not rooted but can be if necessary. I'm talking about the home screen slide bar on the home screen near the bottom. Didn't see an option in settings anywhere. I can post a screen shot later but i think its obvious what I'm talking about.

I don't see what it sounds like you're describing. The only things at the bottom of my home screens are apps. The apps that are there can be changed but I don't see any slider. My S3 is stock.
