remove apps

I would have done a search but had no luck. I'd like to remove many of the preinstsalled aps on my new Droid 2. I went to settings, apps, //but the preinstalled ones don't have an uninstall option. Help is appreciated.

You need to root your phone to remove those apps. There are instructions in one of the D2 subforums.

Thank LtKen...intimidating..... Looks like a foreign language to me.....I can't even "hide" therm..the trash can doesn't seen to do it

you can use the app LauhcherPro to hide them. It's a desktop replacement that allows you to hide apps from the app drawer.

I too wanted to remove them, so I just froze them using Titanium Backup (you must be rooted to use it though). Now TB also gives you the ability to delete the apps but its too risky in my opinion.
