Reduce lag on Slide to Unlock

So I just found this on another forum but there is a way to eliminate the lag that happens when you slide to unlock. All you have to do is go to "Settings" then "Location & Security" and select "Security lock" and turn on security lock by choosing a Security lock type. (I choose pattern lock) Then after I turned it back off and the lag was gone. I hope this helps people and I hope there is something similar for the home screens so I don't need to use launcher pro!

if there a way to turn off swipe period.. so its just the pw? or nothing no swipe no pattern

I use the Unlock widget, no swipe necessary.

I have lag no matter what I do. Its a minor annoyance, no big deal.
