receiving picture messages

ok i have had my phone since june or so im on android version 4.0.4 ------ 6.16.211.xt912


i am rooted since a month after purchase... to be honest i dont remeber getting any pictures via mms ever i may have before root but it was so long ago i cant remember..
right now someone sends but i never get... i can send pictures all day but can not receive... what are my options
im trying to figure this out lol any help i thank in advance for ...

also can some one link me to the newest root program i cant find the one i use to have and to be honest this forum is kinda disjointed as far as things being in certain order at least for me lol

i figured it out guys i had frozen the stock im app and it was holding back the photos
