Razr plays music instead of the notification sounds that i set before adding music.

I normally stream music with Rdio but last night i added the first bit of real music to my sd card and now the phone picks a song whenever i get a notification, text message, email, call and plays until i swipe down the notification bar then it will stop playing. i been using Zedge to set my sounds and I have tried doing it thru system settings but it still overrides with music instead. Has anyone experienced this?
