Just talked to someone at verizon and they said everyone is still able to grandfather their unlimited plan... but get it while it's hot! Bcuz we don't know how long this will last.

No, there are no unlimited plans for new customers.

Actually I believe for upgrades, it's still 199.00 PLUS the new upgrade fee of $30. The information the OP was referring to was for NEW customers, NEW activations.

I think it is decent bcuz the MAXX comes with a 16 GB sd card stock where the RAZR doesnt....

If you are a new customer or if this is a new line (not an upgrade), then you can call them or go to store and they will honor the lower price... most likely by crediting your account. That's how they did it for us on my son's rezound. I think they do this up to 30 days after purchase but could be up to 14 days.

I think it might be 14 days now. They gave me a 14 day trial on the RAZR. I asked about the 30 day trial and they said they did away with the 30 day trial. Of course this was on an upgrade and new 2 yr contract. Would just make since that they would apply that to any trial nowadays...

It is a 14 day for return or exchange but I think they will honor a lower price if the price drops in the next 30 days. I didn't want to purchase my son his rezound because I was worried the price was about to drop any day. The store person told me that if it did within 30 or 14 days (I don't remember), I will get the price drop. Sure enough the price dropped $100 and I went in and they credited my account.
